Typhon drain trap is composed of a tank and funnel assembled with 2 stainless steel screws. The Typhon drain trap is positioned inside the drain grating, its perimeter surface is supported by an edge cast into the grating frame. Using adequate inclination, rain run-off is conveyed into the grating, filling the tank of the Typhon drain trap and spilling over the outer edge. The drain trap tank is completely filled preventing bad odors from escaping. The special feature of this drain trap ensures that bad odors, fumes, etc. do not escape the collection sump. It is advisable to periodically service the drain trap (remove soll, leaves etc. that get in it).
